Frequently Asked Questions
Is this app affiliated with the FAA?
No. Part 107 Flight Check is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Federal Aviation Administration. All practice questions are original works and reference public-domain federal sources.
Will passing the mock exams guarantee I pass the real Part 107 test?
No study tool can guarantee that. Part 107 Flight Check is designed as one of several resources you should use. The questions and explanations are written against the FAA Remote Pilot Airman Certification Standards (FAA-S-ACS-10A) and the Remote Pilot sUAS Study Guide (FAA-G-8082-22), but the real knowledge test changes over time and covers material in its own way.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. Once installed, the App does not require an internet connection for any study feature. Network access is only used for the one-time Remove Ads purchase (Apple StoreKit) and opening Amazon links in the “Recommended Gear” section.
How does the review queue work?
Every time you answer a question, the App records whether you got it right and how long it’s been since you last saw it. A spaced-repetition scheduler uses that history to decide which questions to resurface, so your weakest topics come back around faster than the ones you already know cold.
What does the “Readiness Estimate” mean?
It’s a rolling projection of your mock-exam score based on your recent accuracy across all categories. It’s a directional signal, not a promise — but historically, once learners sit consistently above 85% here, they’re in good shape to sit the real exam.
I bought Remove Ads on my old phone. How do I restore it on my new one?
Open the App, go to Settings → Remove Ads, and tap Restore Purchases. StoreKit will look up any prior purchase tied to your Apple ID and re-apply the entitlement. Make sure you’re signed into the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase.
The app crashes on launch. What should I do?
- Make sure you’re running iOS 17.0 or later — the App requires iOS 17+.
- Delete and reinstall the App.
- If it still crashes, email support@jasonchalky.com with your iOS version and iPhone model.
Note: reinstalling the App will erase your local study history, since all progress is stored only on your device (see below).
Data Deletion
All Part 107 Flight Check data is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. There is no server-side account and nothing to delete remotely.
To delete all App data:
- Delete the App from your iPhone (long-press the icon → Remove App → Delete App).
That’s it. Deleting the App removes your quiz history, scores, review queue, and all local settings. There are no backups on our servers because there are no servers.
If you had iCloud backup enabled for the App: after deleting, also go to iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Backups → [your device] and toggle Part 107 Flight Check off to remove it from any cloud backup snapshot, or delete the backup itself.
Remove Ads purchase: Your Apple ID keeps a record of in-app purchases. To manage or request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot delete Apple’s purchase records for you — that’s between you and Apple.
