The game crashes on launch
Make sure you are running iOS 17.0 or later. Try deleting and reinstalling the App. Your purchased IAPs can be restored via the Store screen.
My progress was lost
Game progress is stored locally on your device. If you deleted and reinstalled the App, progress cannot be recovered. A future update will include iCloud sync for cross-device continuity.
How do evolution stages work?
Each time you match a tile of a given turtle species, that species earns XP. At 100 / 500 / 2,000 / 10,000 XP, the species evolves from Hatchling → Juvenile → Adult → Elder → Legendary. Evolution changes how the tile looks on the board and unlocks passive abilities at Elder and Legendary.
How does the Daily Challenge work?
A new puzzle is generated deterministically from the current date, so every player worldwide sees the same puzzle on the same day. Complete it to earn pearls and maintain your daily streak. Missing a day resets the streak but preserves your total login count.
What are Pearls and Coral?
Pearls are the soft currency, earned from gameplay — 25–75 per level completion, 100+ per daily challenge, 50 per achievement. Coral is the premium currency, purchasable via IAP or earned at 7-day and 30-day streak milestones. Neither currency can buy level completion — no pay-to-win.
Can I play offline?
Yes. Turtle Tide is fully playable offline. Only Game Center leaderboards require a network connection.
How do I restore purchases on a new device?
Tap Store from the main menu, scroll to the bottom, and tap Restore Purchases. Any non-consumable purchases (Remove Ads, World 4, World 5) will be restored. Consumable currency purchases (pearls, coral) are tied to the original device.
How do I report a bug?

- Your device model and iOS version
- A description of what happened
- Steps to reproduce the issue
Data Deletion
Turtle Tide stores all game data locally on your device. To delete all data associated with the App:
- Open Settings on your iOS device
- Go to General > iPhone Storage
- Find and tap Turtle Tide
- Tap Delete App
This removes all locally stored game data including progress, collection, streaks, and settings. No data is stored on external servers, so no additional deletion request is needed.
If you have used Game Center features, you can manage that data through your Apple ID settings.
